Vortex

Well today was not working out as it should be. Woke up a tad too late... around 10.55am. Yet felt as lethargic as when i went to sleep last night. Supposed to go to the library today... my insouciance presage a return of the NSC.ESV (Nee Soon Camp Energy Sucking Vortex. But thurs went thru w/o much problem. Painted the house... read the newspapers (interesting article on presumed consent)... watched the Apprentice (they should have a project that specifically handicaps the women's persistent exploitation of their sexuality to gain an upperhand...) and the OC.
Though the movie last nite was surprisingly a pretty entertaining one... with a prodigious lot of humorous jabs and hokkien expletives shooting off but with serious social and moral issues being elaborated in the local context. The traffic bobby in a fortune god outfit sure has a high humor quotient. Here's the synopsis-
Jack Neo's latest local film, the sequel to the seminal MONEY NO ENOUGH, was originally to be titled MONEY STILL NO ENOUGH. A biting satire on gambling, it has the elements of comic pathos that made its predecessor such a hit, as well as overtones of social commentary that put the more recent I NOT STUPID on the map. Mark Lee has a more wide-ranging role here than in many of his previous starring roles for Neo, and the film has deservedly found favour amongst local mid-year school holiday audiences. Its next step will be to go beyond the regional market and break into international festival and theatrical circles.
